THE APOSTOLIC WORK OF THE SBVM SISTERS
The Apostolic Work of the S.B.V.M Sisters is to bring Jesus to the World in the way Mary Mother of God did to the World. The Sisters do their apostolic work with love and compassion. They serve those entrusted to them as Mary did. They show people that they are light and salt to the world.
- EDUCATION: The Congregation has many sister-teachers who teach at various levels of teaching. Many such sisters with degrees teach in Secondary Schools. A great majority of sisters with certificates teach in Primary and Nursery Schools.

- HEALTH: Many SBVM Sisters work in different departments and levels of the Health Sector. These are spread in health centres and hospitals across the country.

- SECRETARIAL WORK: Many sisters have diplomas and certificates in this field. Mainly, they work in the Bishops’ Houses, Diocesan Offices, Minor and Major Seminaries and Diocesan Pastoral Centres.

- SOCIAL WORK: Sisters who are bearers of degrees and diplomas work with groups such as Catholic Relief Services and Parish Development Teams.

In helping the underprivileged, sisters feel they are witnesses of the Gospel. Thus they become instruments of bringing God’s love to the world. Eventually they grow spiritually for their sanctification and salvation of their souls as well as souls of others.
